Equitable Talent Development & Advancement

Employers that invest in talent development realize a myriad of benefits, including increased employee engagement and retention, higher morale, boosted productivity, and a more attractive employer brand.  But many companies are using talent development strategies that don’t result in the equitable advancement of their workforce, often excluding people of color and other kinds of diverse talent.

Attend this Region of Choice learning session where a panel of talent development experts will talk about the importance of equitable advancement and investment in talent.  We will explore:

- What data can tell employers about who’s being promoted, who’s not, and why
- Common barriers to the advancement and development of diverse talent, particularly Black and Brown employees
- How employers can work with DEI to create inclusive talent development strategies throughout the organization
- Case studies of successful programs/policies that have produced improved representation in upward mobility
