DESCRIPTION:Sachin Chheda is a well-respected\, behind-the-scenes power pla
	yer and influencer in the worlds of business and politics. But being good 
	at a thing doesn’t mean you have to keep doing it. Sachin recently ended h
	is 17-year tenure as a political consultant and stepped down from his role
	 as political director for Mayor Chevy Johnson\, because he felt it was ti
	me for a change. Embarking on a new journey\, Sachin now serves as the Exe
	cutive Director for Wisconsin’s Department of Public Instruction\, channel
	ing his influence to drive progress in public learning and libraries. With
	 four children attending public school\, Sachin says that they are source 
	of inspiration as he navigates this change. Join us for coffee with Sachin

	chin served as Partner at Nation Consulting for 17 years\, primarily worki
	ng with corporate\, labor\, political\, and nonprofit clients on strategic
	 planning\, management\, messaging\, and government &amp\; public relation
	s. He formerly served as director of the Fair Elections Project\, as campa
	igns advisor to the Economic Security Project\, as a strategic communicati
	ons advisor to the Wisconsin AFL-CIO\, and as senior advisor to Community 
	Shares of Greater Milwaukee. Sachin also oversaw winning campaigns for WI 
	Supreme Court Justices Rebecca Dallet and Jill Karofsky\, WI Superintenden
	t of Public Instruction Jill Underly\, and then-Superintendent Tony Evers\
	, as well as dozens of local judges\, aldermen\, school board members and 
	others. In his early career\, Sachin spent five years as an aide to Govern
	or Jim Doyle. He has more than 30 years of political and issue campaign ex
	perience in Wisconsin and Missouri\, and has worked for Citizen Action of 
	Wisconsin\, then-Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin\, the Democratic Party of Wis
	consin and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Chancellor\, among others
	. Sachin attended both the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and UW-Madiso
	n\, and is a proud resident of Milwaukee.
