Guarding Dreams Gala supporting La Causa Crisis Nursery and Respite Center

Mark your calendars for September 11, 2025, as La Causa, Inc. will host the highly anticipated Guarding Dreams Gala at the stunning Baird Center Rooftop Ballroom, located at 400 W Wisconsin Ave, Milwaukee, WI. From 5:30 to 9:00 PM, attendees will gather for an unforgettable evening dedicated to uplifting the children and families of Milwaukee. We are celebrating 35 years of Crisis Nursery operations this year!

 Guests will enjoy a vibrant atmosphere filled with camaraderie, inspiration, and the excitement of a live auction, a silent auction, and thrilling onsite activities, all aimed at supporting our mission.  This year, we are Guarding Dreams, recognizing that through our donors, we can help families maintain stability, decrease adverse childhood experiences, and give kids a better chance of reaching their dreams.

For 35 years, La Causa Crisis Nursery & Respite Center (CNRC) has been addressing the issue of child abuse and neglect by keeping children out of harm’s way. The CNRC is a 12-bed shelter and a free resource to the community. The CNRC is the only facility of its kind in Wisconsin, providing a safe haven to children, age 0 through 12, as families face homelessness, domestic violence, medical needs, or other emergencies. Children can stay a few hours or up to three days. In addition to care during times of crisis, parents can also request respite care for their children during periods of high stress.
